On the Colours page in ColorCalc you will be asked:
"Which Colours would you like to use in your calculation?"
> Use the radio buttons to show whether you would like to base your calculation on the Text Colour or the Background Colour.
Here is an example:
You'd like ColorCalc to find the maximum value of the cells with red text.
On the Formula page, you asked ColorCalc to find the maximum value.
Now you need to let ColorCalc know to look for red text.
So here's how:
> First use the radio buttons to select Text Color.
> Next, click on any cell in your spreadsheet which contains red text...
> Then click on the Click here to select the colour button
The red text colour will appear in the square below.
Made a mistake?
> Simply make your selection again and a new colour will appear in the box below.
If you don't select a colour at all, ColorCalc will simply make a calculation based on the default colour of your spreadsheet.
Making more than one calculation?
If the calculations you are making are based on two colours, you'll need to select both colours.
The first colour in your calculation appears on the left.
The second colour in your calculation appears on the right.
It is possible to select the text colour for one and the background colour for the other.
Please note:
In some versions of Excel, ColorCalc will not work with grey text,
grey backgrounds, or black text. Although it does work if the text
colour is 'automatic' or any other colour.
In Excel 2007 ColorCalc will only work using 'Standard Colors'.
'Theme Colors' do not currently work with ColorCalc. We're working on a
fix for this.
